
ORACLE THEATRE, INC’S BOARD
Jennifer Rathbone (Artistic Director): As a graduate from Hofstra University in Theatre Production and an
MFA graduate from SUNY Purchase Design Technology, she has been afforded an array of opportunities in
varied aspects of theatre. Credits include: T Schreiber Studio's "How I Learned To Drive" (Lighting Designer);
Salvatore Larussa Dance Theatre (Res.Lighting Designer); Oracle Theatre Inc’s "Little Eva;" and "Home" &
"The Death of Tintagiles" (Director); NBC’s "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and WB's "Bedford Diaries" (Art
Dept.). She is on the Performing Arts Faculty at the Trevor Day School and a part of Roundabout Theatre Co.’
s Teaching Artist residencies in NYC schools.
Isaac Rathbone (Managing Director): is a founding member and resident playwright of Oracle Theatre, Inc.
He is a Milford Central School and Hofstra U. Film graduate. Work presented in NYC: THE SYSTEM (Kraine
Theatre); BREAKFAST FOR DINNER (2006 NYC Fringe Festival); JON KATSBERG (Manhattan Rep, Queens
Players, Sam French One-Acts Festival); THE AUDITION (Brooklyn Lyceum). Other credits include LITTLE EVA
(Greater Milford Historical Assoc.); DEATH & MOTOR VEHICLES (SLAMBoston, Theatre Three, Camino Real
Playhouse, Shelterbelt Theatre); HOLD THE BUS (SUNY Brockport, NewGate Theatre); GREAT PLAINS
THEATRE CONFERENCE in Omha, NE; and THE LAST FRONTIER THEATRE CONFERENCE in Valdez,
Alaska. His adaptations of Japanese folktales continue to be presented in Oracle Theatre, Inc.'s WOLF Family
Series at Libraries/Parks/Museums/Schools in NYC area. His 10-minute play, THE GUESTS AT TABLE 11, was
selected as a 2008 Heidemen Award finalist by the Actors Theatre of Louisville. His short comedy, “Death and
Motor Vehicles” is being published by JAC Publishing. He is a member of The FIELD.
Andrea Boccanfuso (Production Design Director): Having received her MFA at SUNY Purchase Design
Technology, she has continued spending her summers at Brevard Music Center in North Carolina as the
resident Lighting Designer and Assistant Production Manager. In NYC, she has been assisting for the
company, JKLD, on Fashion Week in Bryant Park. She has also worked in Italy with the Lighting Design Group
to project coordinate for the Olympics.
Sergei Burbank (Newly elected board member): Sergei Burbank is a Brooklyn-based actor, producer, and
writer. Published Work: “The Shattered Mirror: What August Wilson Means and Willed to Mean,” College
Literature, Issue 36.2, Spring 2009. Produced Plays: THE DANISH MEDIATIONS/SLOTS; WRESTLING THE
ALLIGATOR/SLOTS; WAR CRIMES/SLOTS. Produced Screenplays: CHORDS; OTHER THAN EMILY. Acting
(Film): THE D WORD; LUST FOR VENGEANCE; DIVISION III; OTHER THAN EMILY. Acting (Stage):
WRESTLING THE ALLIGATOR; THE POWER AND THE GLORY; MCREELE; TIMOR MORTIS; BREAKFAST
FOR DINNER; THE GARDEN PARTY; ABSENCE OF A HOUSE; A WINKLE IN TIME;THE LEARNED LADIES;
MASTER HAROLD AND THE BOYS. Current Positions: Co-Founder and Literary Manager, Conflict of Interest
theater company. Professional Affiliations: Member, Actors’ Equity Association and Participant in the 2007
Lincoln Center Theater Directors’ Lab. Awards: Paul Newman Award, Kenyon College (acting).
Education: B.A., Drama (cum laude), Kenyon College.
Joseph Hoffman (Educational Director): is a longtime Long Island theatre actor and resident. He has been
seen in musical theatre productions at Broadhollow, the Cultural Arts Playhouse, the Stage, and Hofstra
University. Trained in speech therapy and the arts, he has completed both an undergraduate and a graduate
degree from Hofstra University and is currently employed as a speech therapist. He continues to work as a
musical theatre actor both on Long Island and in NYC.
Julie Miller (Events Consultant): (AEA) is currently developing a career in stage management. Credits
include Bernarda Alba, Belle Epoque, (LCT) Architecture of Loss, (NYTW), Sarah, Sarah, (MTC) Souls of
Naples, (TFANA) Silver Nitrate (Juggernaut Theatre Co), as well as several workshops: Grey Gardens
(Playwrights Horizons), Ann the Word (LCT), Mask (SHP) and Florida (NYU). She also served as Company
Manager for two summers at New York Stage and Film at Vassar College, as well as working four seasons as
the lobby/backstage venue manager at Olympus Fashion Week at Bryant Park.

Oracle Theatre, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) company, offers a unique theatrical experience.
Tantalizing all ages with mythological themes, historical accounts, fables, and literature, our goal
is to better educate the community about various cultures through storytelling. And we are also in
constant search for new voices and undiscovered tales to be heard. Through new works, old
stories, and anything that embodies a full spirit, the dramatic presentations incorporate an array
of visual and audio displays with live action. As a company comprised of artists of diverse talents,
the art of collaboration is our universal dedication.
